Help me with my windows

Guess I’m simply nervous about making a hole in the wall. I have already built the interior framing ad have the window with me. My plan goes like this:
· To drill holes in the frame area corners to the outside portion to guide for cutting the sliding.
· Scribe between the holes to get the proper area.
· Removed a few nails form the sliding portion near the window, so that I can slide the window frame properly.
· Remove the sashes form the brand new window and fit it under the sliding.
· Leveling the fit spacers and base portion.
· Installing the sashes
· Doing final touch and squaring up.
· My questions are : Will cutting the vinyl to match the frame size will allow me to slide the vinyl into the window groove? Or should it need to a different size? There is a form under the window sliding, will the window go over that?
If this is not going to work I’m planning to hire a window installation company (Windowchoice.ca) for assistance, but I’m planning to do it in a small budget. Any inputs will be welcomed.
