Ebay sided with seller over £1200 item and attitude is "tough luck"

Have another thread for this, bought a laptop which took me 4 years to save up for, it arrived dead on arrival and seller did not respond to messages so opened dispute, next day they told to send back(at my expense) Then I sent it back and waited a few days after delivery and heard nothing so escalated it, Ebay then bans me for "inappropiate behaviour" and because of this I am not covered by their money back.
So I am down £1200 and not broken any laws and Ebay just care about their own back pockets.

Well you must have done something to warrant the ban? What are you missing out?
They don't ban people for opening a dispute.
What did you say in your messages to the seller?0 -
Actually they have history of banning people for whatever reason.
All I was told yesterday was I opened too many cases, I opened one 2 months ago for a faulty hoover, and 2 at Christmas for items about £2 that never arrived and then agreed to 2 cancellations due to this so to them they seem to count them all as problems therefore I am scamming0 -
This is the other thread

I don't believe for one second the full story is being given here. If I'm wrong, I'm sorry, but until the OP provides a fuller explanation of what actually happened, it's not worth people's time replying.0

Just to be absolutely clear- ebay do not ban people for no good reason- they do have reasons and it is virtually unheard of for a buyer to be banned. Sellers are banned purely on the basis of what ebay consider poor service.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. So instead of being nice you just assume the worst case scenario, I have been a member of Ebay for around 12 years and have seen and heard people getting banned for the slightest things such as being linked to other people,
This IS the full story, item ordered, arrives faulty, seller contacted, nothing heard, dispute opened, seller responds to return to them, I respond again saying that can they organise delivery since I dont want to be out of pocket, no response but as I cannot return for a few days I send back Collect+, item is delivered next morning, 2 days later no word from seller despite me asking if all is ok, I escalate, hear nothing for almost 2 days then get a email saying account suspended.
At this point I go on to livehelp and wait about 2 hours on hold and get told in broken English about how I broke site rules and a email was sent about this, they did claim I can open a Paypal case and paypal would refund but this isnt true.
This morning I tried again and they just said I broke rules and would be found in sellers favour, then a few minutes later I get an email saying case closed in sellers favour.
So I do not know what the problem is, I can only assume it was based on the amount of cases I have had in last year0 -
If you haven't already done so, call Paypal..0

Tried Live help again and they are saying contact phone line0

Phone Paypal.0

Phone Paypal.
If you go to your Paypal account and find the transaction id and contact Ebay from there. I would also upload the tracking details to this too.
If all else fails you would need to contact Trading Standards and seek legal advice..0
