There is totally misleading information here, especially about:

• authority to issue charges
• is the charge fair and reasonable
• does PE have a fair appeals procedure
• PE wins over 90% of cases

If you have come to this post looking for initial information about a parking charge, especially PE, consider what kind of company fails to tell the truth on its own web pages, while leaning on volunteer contributors to an internet forum who expose their scam and stand up to them.

Yes they are trying to stop people giving advice to others facing this scam, and it's exactly that as they cannot prove their pre-estimate of loss, they have been to popla hundreds of times and the peeps there are not blinded by them. They have gone to court multiple times and they have lost on pre-estimate of loss.

So the only conclusion left is that the amounts being claimed are unfair, not justified, and not their loss, as they can't lose anything, as only the landowner could possibly lose anything. That being the case it's a SCAM by a SCUM company.

Crunching a few figures I would estimate in the last 12 months they have lost £170,550 just by people assisted on here.
Up by around £80.k on last year.

Lets look forward to another good year.

So if we can carry on the more than 100% increase year on year it will be a very good year. But I think if the industry standard of 30% not paying the actual loss is about £9.6m on unpaid tickets at £40 each. We can only hope that figure increases as the message gets to more and more people.

This is the reason why the Parking ticket appeals service has been set up to help members of the public who either simply pay up as they are unaware and naive of the system and due processes involved or due to time constraints cannot afford to spend the time to research the matter themselves.


There are still members of the public who believe that ignoring the parking charge is the best course of action and we know how especially with the likes of parking eye this is outdated advice. Members of the public still seem unaware of POFA and keeper liability.

I think The Deep has nailed it.

Having been dragged through the process by Parking Eye myself, I can understand the anger expressed by posters. The stuff they sent us, for example, was full of lies. I'm not sure how people want to define the word "lie" but I'm quite happy to be held to account for using the word.

But, let's face it, there's no need to get personal, boxing clever seems to the best way forward. And let's face it, we're winning !

Morally I don't see any difference between PPCs and the Nigerian 419 scammers.
Both are trying to get gullible people to send them money that they are not entitled to.
Both dress it up to try and make it look legitimate.
Both lie.

Why doesn't parking eye have the guts to stand up and face us on here and defend themselves like a man(or women(or both if your zennith).

For a big company they to be scared of so called arm chair lawyers and anonymous posters( that's coming from a firm who sign stuff "enforcement team")

What I find bizarre is that Parking Eye are so sensitive about being called scammers yet their owners, Capita, really don't care when their called Crapita.
