Sooo...
I have been with TT since July last year, and I received the official notice on price rises. I’ve been on the £7.50 per month plus line rental Essentials package (unlimited broadband, evening and weekend calls, value line rental), and this will no increase to £8.50.
Following the TT price rise notification, I signed up for the EE £2 per month deal with £130 cashback via Quidco – the cashback would be a significant chunk of the value line rental with EE of £134. Factoring everything in I was getting the same service less evening calls for £2.16 per month.
I have though taken up a last minute retention offer from once EE got in touch with TT to take over my service. Their offer was as follows:
1. £2.25 per month for evening and weekend calls, and unlimited broadband
2. Credit on my account of £141 to cover the value line rental
So, I’m paying 9p more a month for evening calls, get my line rental paid for me, and I don’t have to mess about with new routers and potentially losing my home phone number.
Worth calling retentions if you’re a TT customer I say!!

So I also did the same thing for my dad who is also on Talk Talk Essentials.
Via retentions TT offered the £2.25 per month deal for unlimited BB, and free evening and weekend calls. Also rebated £130 cash to my dad's account.0 -
Wow that is a bargain.
TT offered me £1.75 a month plus a free international call boost when I was going to leave. I prepaid line rental.
I hope that offer is around when it is time for me to leave!!Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
Do it now as you have the right to break your contract as TT have issued a price rise notification! You won't incur any charges whatsover.0
