Oh Ed and Mrs Ed. A baby.

I'm thinking a boy, but I'm dreaming about baby girls, with knitted pink hats0

I was convinced no 2 was a boy and no 3 a girl. Wrong on both counts!0

One nice thing about having a baby these days, even the clothes for boys are absolutely gorgeous, so much better than they were even 25 years ago, when my last nephew was born.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Baby clothes are fantastic these days - I hope you have a good budget for this, Mr Ed! :rotfl:Early retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
The resourceful Ed will be knitting away, no doubt!Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
I will keep DS'S stuff until we know, just in case.
Or would Mrs E not like second hand?0 -
What a lovely thought Al, although I do expect Mrs E to assume all new as it is our first baby. Wife contentment = priceless :j
So where did that weekend go?
Yesterday featured grocery shopping, laying new porch tiles and telling my brother our good news. We had a lovely Chinese takeaway in front of the fire while watching Raymond Brigg's Father Christmas :xmastree:
Today was a whirlwind of sensible jobs as well. FIL helped cut some laminate for brother's house; then a trip to the recycling centre; then dusting ceilings and light fittings; then hoovering; then taking out the recycling; then mopping; now cooking a roast chicken and baked potatoes for dinner. Throw in wrapping some Amazon packages and Christmas presents and I need a weekend off! :rotfl:
Still to make lunch for tomorrow, then a big online shop for the Christmas party we're hosting next Saturday.
Hope everyone else is keeping productive/relaxed?0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: well, nowhere near *that* productive or relaxed but you have special reasons :j
Great idea to get as many jobs as possible out of the way, its ideal to have a calm, warm home for new mum and baby, and you're well on the way to achieving that. Just don't wear yourself out!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
:j:j:j belated congratulations from me too :j:j:j
ps - glad the work situation appears better0
