You're my new best friend :D if you'd ever tell me how to do that :D
We ned to learn to do that. Do you need a special lead?

If you have a smart TV and a device with Windows 10, you can do it without leads or addons. Just find your media file, right click on it and select 'Cast to device', finding your TV in the list of discoverable devices.

Ah right, would be different requirements without a Smart TV. Figured if I had the kit, I may as well use it as intended for once :)

We've just got an HDMI cable hooked up to our desktop (which acts as our media device). TV gets treated as an external display for the computer so you just fire up whatever you want to watch and you're good to go. :) May or may not need a special adapter to handle HDMI with your computer, depending on its specs.

Your spends (a drill!) will last a while, Ed, you're allowed to amortise them (is that an American word?) over the next ten years :)
    Save

you mean depreciate. Amortisation refers to non tangible assets (goodwill/ip etc)

Thanks for popping out :):):) Nerd camp is good! Very much needed for people like me who have a broad grasp of lots of things but are absolute and complete **rubbish** at details :)

We knew what you meant KC! :)

£1.02 OPed, £2.03 paid to EF (now at 54.84% of target).

I've been looking at my S123 account and rather annoyingly, it no longer pays for itself thanks to the whopping £5 account fee. Considering how much lower our cash savings are these days, I'm unsure whether to switch accounts or to keep it on because we'll be able to start saving cash again by this time next year (house finished)? The difference is about £1.50 a month.

Have you heard about the Santander 123 Lite ? only difference is it charges £1 per month but you need to keep your cash elsewhere as it doesn't pay any interest. Bonus is you keep same account no and they change over all your d/d's :) Might be of interest to you.
Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's

I heard about that, but no interest = no deal for me.
