How complicated was it to get your money out of FC? They put ominous messages about phoning them on their website when I click the wee "Transfer Out" link.
First time? If so, standard security check I'd assume.Ed, I see what you mean - and I agree completely. Your original post that I commented on mentioned about being in touch twice a year? That's way more contact than 99% of my family have with one another. And when you're the only one doing the contacting, that gets old *really* fast. I don't have much contact with my brother for that very reason, though its all perfectly amicable.
We're all a bit like that - not a huge amount in common, crap at keeping in touch, friendly enough when we do meet up.0 -
Hi Ed
I'm after some advice please on the whiskey front. I will be looking to purchase a nice bottle of something as a gift this week and budget is around £75-£100. What would you recommend?0 -
That's a good budget BW, definitely premium single malt/nice distillery bottle territory. Do you have any idea what the lucky person likes in terms of styles of whisky? This page explains some of the differences... Do you know the names of anything else that they have drunk etc.? If you don't know, try and rustle up some support from a friend or rellie who might know the answer or be able to do a bit of detective work on your behalf. There's a big world of whisky out there and tastes can be very specific!0

I'm afraid I have no idea... but I should be able to get someone to do some detective work on that front. Thanks for the link
