SeptemberGot any plans for Hogmanay Ed?
I am popping my steak pie cherry - shin of beef, lardons, carrots, onions and good Scottish dark ale simmering away in the PC with lots of tasty seasonings. Inverawe smoked salmon to start and a wee bottle of Ruinart to keep us hydrated :j
I feel loads Scottish nowLoving the plans Ed,
Although I don't chirp up much and comment [unless you start talking rugby] I have really enjoyed following your diary with the new parenting, house moving, investing, decorating, cooking and loads more.
I look forward to reading about your challenges, adventures and exciting times ahead during 2016.
Happy New Year to you all in the 'Ed household'
Dobbi
Thanks Dobbi, I am enjoying my life of rugby, parenting, investing and cooking... not so sure about the decorating :rotfl:ourcornercottage wrote: »I am following your lead and opening a SIPP later, was going to go with tilney best invest for low platform fees. Any reason why I should avoid you can think of? Im going to transfer my stakeholder pensions there.
Good luck and happiness to you for 2016
Thank you OCC. Let's hope not - that's who I've went with! I looked at Cavendish online, but their website was a little offputting for me. Maybe it's the fact that you can open a SIPP, but they don't actually call it a SIPP? Who knows. In any case, same fees.0 -

Aw I feel homesick now, we're going to an outside barbie and will be having 12 grapes and cava at midnight.

Gather round friends and I will tell you a horrifying story that is possibly the best example ever of why the concept of Secret Santa is !!!!ing !!!!
We take part in an annual event with friends, I oscillate between doing it one year, not being bothered the next.
This years 'gifts' were the usual crappy scarf for me and a huge bar of choccy for Mrs E. Mrs E attacked the chocolate with gusto (she's a good woman). About two squares in, she remarked 'oh, I think I've just broken a bit off my tooth!' A quick inspection showed that, yes, she now has a knife like tooth as opposed to the usual enamel tombstone that we all know and love.
Said tooth fragment was popped in milk (NHS idea) and she finally managed to get an appointment at the dentist today. We are looking at £2,000-2,500 for an implant, tooth cannot be repaired :eek:0 -
Implants are really expensive
You can get 20-30% off the price if you pay a monthly fee mine is around £12 i get 20-30% off any treatment i spent about 3k on a lot of work nearly 2 years back now best 3k iv ever spent was saved a packet on the LIST price by paying monthly for a year then downgrading it
Also it wouldn't hurt to say look 2k is to much what can u do most dentist will do a good or ok deal iv found
Its a lot i know tho
Also great plans for the new year ed love it :]
Hope you have a nice new year tonight be safeMortgage--- [STRIKE]£67700 March 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65221 April 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64983 July 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64780 sept 15[/STRIKE] Remortgage [STRIKE]£67295 oct 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£66599 Nov 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65878.73 Dec 15[/STRIKE][STRIKE] £64834 1st Jan 16[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Feb 16 £64,511.89[/STRIKE][STRIKE] March 16 £64,056.40[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]April 16 £62550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]May 16 £62,396.20[/STRIKE] Feb 17 £60.800
