Moneyback - Dodgy Software Bought Online

Options
Hello

I'd really appreciate some help with getting my money returned from a company that I bought some software from online.

I'm not sure what information I need to provide here so that people with more experience can assist me so I'd appreciate clarification on what I need to share so I can be assisted.

Thanks
S

    1. Is it physical medium or digital download?
    2. Where is the company based?
    3. Why is it "dodgy"?

    Let's try again:

Was the software supplied on a CD/DVD?
Was the software downloaded from a website?
What is the name of the company you bought from?
Did you buy the thing from Currys/PCWorld?
    What is the problem?
    What software?
How did you pay? By card? By bank transfer? By cash?

Just saw this template for initial basic info so here goes...
    What did you buy?
Some software together with training and support to be used in trading the markets.
    When did you buy it?
    February 2014.
Where from? (internet or in store - it DOES make a difference)
    Internet and phone.
How did you pay? (cash/cheque/debit card/credit card etc)
Bank transfer (BACS or FP) - Faster Pay I think.
    What went wrong?
    1. The software arrived very late.
    2. When it did arrive, I found it to be incomplete.
    3. The purported training was/is inadequate.
    4. There was/is very little documentation on using the software.
What are the vendors telling you?
No refunds possible. There's nothing wrong with their software or their training program.
What solution or remedy are you looking for? (Companies may Repair / Refund / Replace)
Full refund of amount paid to them.

Was the software supplied on a CD/DVD?
    No

Was the software downloaded from a website?
Kind of. I was emailed a Link which I ran/executed to download the software.

What is the name of the company you bought from?
    The Indicator Guys - TIG.

Did you order via the internet?
Yes but with some phone calls as well.

Did you buy the thing in PCWorld?
    No

Did you make the purchase in another store, if so, which one?
    N/a

    What is the problem?
As above - I just want my money back. What they've sold is simply not fit for purpose (in my own opinion).

    What software?
It's trading software for use in the stock market. Specifically, it purports to be a set of indicators.

Ok so bottom line is it's not going to make you the millions you thought it would like every get rich quick scheme.

The best bet (no pun intended) is to try a charge back or S75 claim if over £100 and bought on credit card and let them see if you have a case.

The problem you have is it was a gamble, the stock markets are exactly that and there is no trick any software can teach you. The only people getting rich off the software is the developers by selling it to people mad enough to buy it.

But even that gamble won't pay out.

The OP has already told us:

The only people who get rich quick from get rich quick schemes are the people who supply get rich quick schemes to people who think they can get rich quick just by following a get rich quick scheme.

Thanks for your various comments about 'get rich quick scheme' etc. I'm obviously not as smart as many of you.

My point in essence is that I have not got what I thought was sold/advertised.

Can we please focus on what my rights are, what the law says I may/not be entitled to based on the actual situation and how I go about proving there's been a breach?

I'd really appreciate that and I think other Money Savers will benefit from that.

    Thanking you.
    :)
