'Big Green' smiley doesn't show and affects formatting

- as you can see above. "I" in the quotation was in upper case. It changed both [/QUOTE] and
to the lowercase either, but this didn't affect the result.

This is the culprit - icon10.gif - this time inserted as image.

    I know, it depends. I just CBA to waste time on isolating the cases when this really happens. I posted an example that is sufficient for the IT guy to look into it.

    To MSE:

    If I remember correctly, that is a quirk of Admin having the number of characters in the "no shouting" option set too low on vBulletin.

    i.e. if there are no other lower case characters in the main body of a post (outside quotes and some punctuation) the software interprets the whole post as being in capitals and changes them all to lower case. Breaking that smiley and similar ones.

    Again, if I remember, increasing the characters to activate the "no shouting" option to at least 3 stops that in cases like this?
