Virgin Media Late Charges

Hi,
thought I would turn to you good folks for some advice.
Am currently on Virgin Media 4MB ( Broadband only) package, paying £25 p/m. Last month the direct debit bounced and I have then been charged £10 bounced fee from Virgin Media and then a subsequent £10 late charge. This brings my total bill for last months and this months payment to £75 as they have added £5 for not paying by direct debit!
Is there anything I can try over the phone to get them to get to cut the charges? Can I get a better (ADSL) deal elsewhere? Is it even worth me phoning them to try and sort this out. Am I paying too much in the first place? I really can't afford £75 this month so any advice would be appreciated!

£25 a month you are being ripped off. I am currently with Virgin Media and get 20mb for £18.50 a month. I have had this deal for the last 15 months as i just went through to cancellations and they make you an offer to keep you.
Tell them your going to Sky they will wipe all them late charges. Let us know how you get on.0
