A lot of people look at these sort of photos and criticise you for not having soft lighting and twigs in vases.
Personally I think more often than not the answer is down to pricing and structural things. I can't say it's easy to do anything about the latter, but I can point out to you what I'm wondering about the place.
Photo 1 - I am wondering, are you having to park your cars partially on the pavement? Is there some kind of awkward shared drive arrangement as its' quite hard to work out what is the property and what is the next house?
Phot 5 - I suspect there isn't a better time of day to demonstrate how overshadowed your garden is!
Photo 6 -If the bed butts up against the cupboard doors and drawers like that, this is a tiny room. Can you even open those drawers?
No dimensions on floorplan is annoying. There seems to be very very little storage space anywhere in the house.
That streetview is pretty shocking!0 -
It is the price. It is always the price! These days Rightmove even gives you the prices of the last few houses sold in the area (right hand side). They are between 16 (precrash) and 45k (postcrash) cheaper than this one...
Apart from that...
1. why is the 1st picture of a car park? get rid of the vehicles.
2. Everything else looks ok apart from being a little dated/shabby, but not a big deal.

It's probably not technically a shared drive, but there is nothing to stop your neighbour sharing it if they want to park lazily or get a big car!0 -
I'm confused as I see it's advertised as a townhouse, but only has 2 floors as in a normal house. Here in London & environs, a townhouse is one that is set over 3 floors/levels.
It doesn't look a bad house interior wise, so no reason there to put people off who don't mind a 60's/70's house providing it is priced correctly.
Did your parents get more than one ea in to value? It's always wise to get at least 3 agents in before deciding on who to market with & at what price. Plus any ea worth his or her salt will recommend you lower the price if there has been no real interest in the first 4 or 5 weeks to see if that fosters interest & hopefully an offer.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

Agree it is most likely an issue with the price.
I would definitely suggest to your parents they get a couple of other agents round to talk to them about switching over.
That should also give them some up to date feedback on a realistic selling price in the current market.
If they do switch to a new agent then obviously the pictures would be re-done. Even if they decide to stay with current agent I would ask for the photos to be retaken.
They ideally need a much better picture of the front of the house. And I think the photo of the study is poor. If the study is potentially a big plus to buyers as it gives an extra internal room then I'd want to highlight that to viewers better.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Horrible pictures, horrible street view, the house needs a major de clutter, even getting rid of the cleaning sprays in th bathroom would be an improvment.
A declutter, freshen up & better photos. Lower the price & get new agents.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

The main difference between this house and others nearby is that the garage has been converted to a study. The positives of this need to be emphasised by better photos of the study(do estate agents never use wide angle lenses????) and the negatives minimised by taking a photo of the front of the house without the cars parked there (although I realise one of them belongs to the neighbour).
Having said that, it does look expensive for the area, and your parents need to sue google for that streetview link (get the estate agency to change it somehow).0 -

Does the front of the house ever get the sun? If so get a shot with no cars and the sun shining on the front.
Declutter, particularly the bathroom. Make the rooms look larger. Things like the clothes rail suggest no room and no storage. No proper dining table either.
The study looks dire. Can they store that stuff and make the room look like it can be lived in?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
