PPI Claim

Hi
Just need some advice.
I was mis-sold my Barclay Card PPI and this has all gone through to the Financial Ombudsman they have said that I was not mis-sold this. If I appeal this decision is there a good chance they will re-look at it?

If it is an adjudicator decision then you can appeal it so an ombudsman looks at it. if its an ombudsman decision then its game over unless you can persuade them to change their mind. Statistically, overriding the adjudicator is uncommon. Especially on simple complaints like PPI.
What were your reasons for complaint?
what evidence exists to support your complaint?
why was it rejected?
You need to focus on why it was rejected and how you counter that. Appealing with no new evidence/information on a decision that is correct wont succeed.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
If you haven't exhausted every avenue available to you and you've been informed that you still have right of appeal then FOS will advance your case so that an actual Ombudsman (rather than just an adjudicator) will consider whether you were mis-sold.charliespad wrote: »If I appeal this decision is there a good chance they will re-look at it?
To be honest, if you've come this far and you are still being told you were not mis-sold then your case does not sound very promising.
What exactly were your complaint reasons?0
