Decent floor steamer????

I'm having no luck at all finding a reliable domestic floor steamer.
So far the list of failures goes like this. (can't recall the model No's)
Vax 1, never worked, filter material blocked steamer
Vax 2, worked for 1 day then as above.
Vax 3, no steam??, don't know why, so gave up on Vax.
Shark, worked well for almost exactly a year but very flimsy, "boiler blacked and reduced steam, no repairable.
Vax 4, different model entirely, looked much better built, did 1/2 the kitchen floor tiles and then gave up, no steam, uncontrollable\ble steam, then nothing.
Black and Decker, most expensive 1 bought. It's sat here waiting collection. Pathetic steam and cleaning performance, bad designed floor plate makes little ground contact.
So all with the exception of the shark were returned.
Any recommendations for a replacement???
Before anyone suggests we are not using them correctly, I used to purchase these for industrial use a few years ago, I know the importance of keeping the tank free of debris and only use filtered water. Non of the above with the exception lived long enough for it to have been us.
Are they all rubbish??

We have had a Polti for 12 years , still goes like Stevenson's Rocket, the family also borrow it when something needs a major blast off. cleans floors , windows , gets off wallpaper and they say degreases the oven but after 2 sec's you disappear in big cloud of steam. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0

I think Which did a report on these recently so pop down to the library and have a look.0

We have the top Polti. It is brilliant and complete pain in nearly equal measures.
Nothing cleans like it, but it is cumbersome and a bit of a pain to clean out, itself.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

It was the big one, Vaporetto Eco Pro. We originally got it because we had a mega attack of carpet moth and it sorted out double quick including any dormant eggs. Afterwards we have found all sorts of uses for it the main one being the large amount of ceramic floor tiles where it brings everything including the light coloured grout up like new.You scullion! Have owned a Kärcher SC1.020 Multi-Purpose Steam Cleaner for the last four months, have had no issues with it so far. It is light weight but seems well built, purchased mine from Amazon for £100, saw them on sale at Marko for around £85 last weekend.0

I have the big Polti Eco Pro as well. It's the dogs but like all steam cleaners, just moves the dirt around."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

Mine is a leco aspira which is a hoover as well, the reason I bought it - it cleans up after itself. £400 odd of cleaning up after itself.

Well, a decent design has enough floor contact to allow a larger pad/footprint, we don't have issues with having to change the pads over to remove the grime. That was the issue with the recent B&D, now pressure could be applied to the foot as there was only about 10% actual contact with the tiles..
If I said the steamer just shifts muck around I'd be told in no uncertain terms that it's because I don't do it often enough:D:D:DI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
