Probably because it's only two and a half weeks away. I got £29 each for 2 rooms in July, but booked back in February.

Possibly but I also looked at a date in September which I will also need and it is already £80 then. Couldn't book in feb as I didn't have holiday confirmation info.

That's odd. You can usually get it for £80-ish including parking.

Yes correct . A single traveller who doesn't need parking loses out against a couple with a car

The whole of September is £54, except the 7th, which is £59.

I was looking at the 7th but have now realised that I want the 6th not the 7th. Was sure I had seen a higher figure! Going mad? LOL!

I wonder what's going on on the 7th :rotfl:

I noticed the saver rates end on the 31st August at all the Gatwick hotels, maybe they haven't released the £29 rooms for September yet?

I stayed in the Hilton last week for work. It was connected to the south terminal, and cost £77 for the night including buffet breakfast.

Valid point! Perhaps I will wait another couple of weeks before booking the September one. Now have to decide on whether to go for a cheaper place in May. The Premier Inn ones which aren't right by the airport are more reasonably priced.

I always stay at either the Hilton or Sofitel, if you upgrade to an Executive/Club room in either you get access to their Club lounge, there are free drinks and canapes in the evening and a light breakfast in the morning.

It's not the cheapest option, but given how expensive meals and drinks are it's an enjoyable start to the holiday trying to drink your room rate

The last time I stopped in the Premier Inn North Terminal the bar was packed and the service was taking forever so I thought I'd pop next door to the Sofitel for a drink. It's a very nice hotel but I almost fell over at the cost of a pint. If flying for business I think I'd stop there but for leisure, the Premier Inn is perfectly fine.
