Reconditioned PAYG Mobiles @ Carphonewarehouse

Hi, Does anyone have any feedback on their experience of buying a reconditioned PAYG mobile at Carphonewarehouse. Do they look just like new?

Thanks

I recently bought a motorola v3 on clearance, It arrived in plain packaging with the charger, software, cables etc and protective covering on phone. It looked as new as they had put on a new fascia.

Only problem was it was faulty! and wouldnt charge properly. I rang cpw and paid to send the phone back, a few days later they called me to tell me they were sending a new one...It arrived but this one was faulty too! Ive had to take it to their repair store and now theyve told me it will take 2-4 weeks to fix! I wuld have though it should have been fixed in the first place!

I dont know if this is a common problem with cpw or if its due to the phone. I wouldnt buy another clearance phone from them again, but there customer service was ok.

I did buy a clearance phone from the link and it has been working for over a year so they may be a better supplier.

I've bought quite a lot of reconditioned phones from CPW... and have had very few problems. I've had a faulty one but this was replaced at no charge.

Packaging is sometimes non-original but the handsets have always looked 99% new and have always come with some form of warranty.

CPW customer service might be bad sometimes, but compared to the alternatives i've experienced, it's great! They are happy to replace items, aren't shy on spending money on couriers etc...

If you're going to buy a used/refurbed phone, CPW is probably the safest place to do it - either that or Orange's own refurbs....

(logistics run by Dextra - but you're still buying from Orange direct)
