Free texts?
I often text from Virgin to Virgin for 3p. However this can still amount to quite a lot of money per month.
I used to use a free text service via the internet - however it was unreliable (can't remember the site). Does anyone know of a reliable free text service?
Thanks, Tony

Hi Mr Skint.
Whats Freesmsmate like? Having a look at the T&C I came accross this that I did not find too comforting:
4. Data Protection
Vermillion Skies is deemed notified to process data under the Data Protection Act 1998. You consent to use of any personal details you give for internal administrative purposes, for marketing, and for release to third parties either for gain or without charge. Without limit on what we agree in the rest of this agreements you understand that Vermillion Skies may sell Fonetastic or may change its ownership and the data it holds might be sold to a third party as part of that change in structure. Data could be transmitted outside the UK but Vermillion Skies will at all times adhere to the data protection principles outlined in the Data Protection Act 1998.
and then in the same sub-section:
Vermillion Skies is able to provide the Fonetastic service only by selling advertising space and data to third parties.
Sounds like a recipe for sms spam and cold calling to me.0 -
