Can anyone advise how far back you can claim ppi from HFC, my loan stated in 1996 I cancelled ppi in 2003 can I claim.
I have also found the original paper work..
This Loan should have been in joint names, the original paperwork has my name computer printed and partners name added in ink, although the cover ppi was computer ticked for joint cover, (husbands name was not on agreement) sounds confusing and why at the time did I not question it, I don't know. It looks like the paper work was already for us to sign when we got the bank that day and they forgot to computer type husbands name on agreement, is this mis-sold ppi, ( we cannot remember that far back but certainly never requested ppi)
We both signed the agreement and we always got the statements sent to us in joint names...

It's clearly not mis-sold based on them printing the paperwork in advance of you signing it. It will have been printed while you were on the premises (not before) and any complaint you made about this aspect would be countered that you had a "cooling off" period in which to read carefully what you signed.

This indicates it was set up exactly as you required and signed for.

You need to look for other complaint reasons, complaining about this documentation will get you nowhere.

Our complaint was we never asked or needed ppi, we both cannot recall anyone discussing it with us, I have sent copy of original agreement also loan started in 1996 but have no statements dating that far back, the latest one's I have are from December 2001-august 2003 ( only a few statements from these years don't have all of them, the loan was cleared in September 2003 I also enclosed a copy of that confirmation letter to them. Do you think they will still need more proof that it was paid.
