Hi,
I've been using the newbie guide to appeal a CP Plus PCN I received, I have received a response to the email I sent (I used the template email on this forum adding in that request a POPLA code if they with to continue).
The email reads as follows;
Thank you for your email.
Please confirm the vehicle registration and your full name/address to ensure that we discussing the correct account.
Kind Regards

I have responded offering only the Reg number which they already have and their reference & PCN numbers advising that they should be able to use that as clarification enough, was that the right or wrong maneuver here?

those details above are similar to debt recovery plus and seem to be debt collectors not the parking company CP Plus
typically they will try and wheedle the drivers details
I assume you sent the appeal to CP Plus ?
if so, CP Plus should have either granted your appeal or issued a popla code, not passed it to debt collectors
CP Plus should already have the RK details so I would only have given them the reg number and PCN number etc like you did (but to cp plus not PCS)0 -
Thanks Red X, that's what I thought, yes the appeal went to CP Plus via email, I have the received receipt from them.
The mail I sent back was as follows,
The vehicle registration number BD54 LBU as listed on your document with the PCN reference number 1030354 and your reference 676216.
From this you should be able to confirm the account you are looking at.
Regards
So I only offered the reg and their own references, all information they already have.0 -
maybe so, but the part you are missing is that the email you received wasnt from them , it was from Parking Collection Services (PCS , not CP Plus) and that po box etc is also DR + from what I remember, so from the debt collector or back office company and NOT from CP Plus
your thread title says the email is from CP PLUS , but its actually from Parking Collection Services0 -
Ok, I see.
The email it has come from is the same as the one I used from the NTK for the appeal so yes they could be working on behalf of CP Plus, although the NTK is branded with CP Plus at the top.
So the appeal is with Parking Collection Services which could be CP Plus or not.
I'm a bit confused now.
Well I have offered them nothing new for now and I still await a response to my initial appeal.
Thanks0 -
their website has an appeal system listed on it
but if you look at parking pranksters blog for last year you will see ranger services did the back office appeals
http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/cp-plus-fold-halfway-through-popla.html
it now seems that its PCS according to your posts , but your thread title says it was CP Plus whereas your email is clearly from PCS , not CP Plus
we shall have to see what transpires now
your thread title should actually say
EMail from PCS after appeal to CP Plus

Ok, changed, we'll see what happens next, as far as i can see so far I have followed the process listed on these forums.0

Ok, I've seen what's gone on here, the PCN was issued by CP Plus and I waited for the NTK, the NTK arrived (just in time for them) and on the back it stated an email for appeals so I winged off he template response with a few tweaks, this email is the response to that.
I now see that on the CP Plus website there is a separate email for appeals, I have now emailed that also.
Not sure what stage this puts me at, I am within time for both the appeals, I guess I just wait for the next communication, but a question would be do I ignore the emails from PCS and wait on a reply from CP Plus? Or a different course of action?0 -
wait and see what transpires, BUT the PPC should be the one dealing with this and any appeal you have made , although they may employ PCS to do the admin for them so they may be involved , these companies are devious in how these things are done and there is no one size fits all, but they have to abide by the BPA CoP0

the NTK arrived (just in time for them)PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Ok, I'm trying my best to not be to thick here and have read much on this part of the forum, but maybe it's info overload
I have read the POFA section and believe this maybe relevant;
(7)When the notice is given it must be accompanied by any evidence prescribed under paragraph 10.
No evidence was sent just the NTK.
I have also attached the NTK to help me along.
The PCN was initial placed on the windscreen on the 15/2
(Sorry I'm too new to post links to pictures, so please try and fill in the missing www etc above, let me know of any issues and I'll find another way)0
