TV licence renewal ..

I hadn't realised that our TV licence expired today
I received an email from TV licencing today - informing me that unless I arranged for a new licence TODAY - I would face the rest of my life in JAIL breaking rocks !!!
I think that in the past - you used to receive a weeks warning of impending arrest ??

So you weren't aware your licence expired today.
Do you think that's why they send reminders?

Yes - but I am saying that they used to send reminders, at least a week before the licence expired !
To give you a little warning
Doesn't matter - new TV licence paid for..

Just to annoy the TV licence collectors or whatever they are called I wait till the last day of the month before I renew mine.

Due 1st Sept, I renew it on 30th Sept.
The amount of emails they send about me not renewing it?

Exactly the same here. Always used to receive the licence reminder by post at least 3/4 weeks before. Mine runs out today as well.

I have received nothing this time, neither by post nor by email.
