    Of course I understand about travel insurance and what it entails.


    I have called the insurance company and no, they wont move the cover to a different date.


    I did ring the holiday company up who did the cancellation of the holiday, the have asked me to write in and explain my losses and gave me the impression that they would look on it favourably. Yes, I know, impressions count for nothing. We shall wait and see and I will update when I hear from them. Thanks for all your input guys.

    The holiday company eventually emailed me and said that in their terms and conditions it says that consequential losses are not refundable. However they are happy to issue a good will gesture in the form of vouchers to the value of £70 towards a future holiday. Cant say fairer than that. Good old Shearings....
