How to Mount a Huge Clock?

How should I mount a huge clock?

60cm diameter.
Held like usual clocks with one gap for a screw.

I am thinking using a long screw (about 5cm long), rawlplug (obviously) but seeing if I can squirt some no more nails into the hole just to hold it in there?

Going into a solid brick wall.

Any one with a big clock with advice?

There's many ways, but either way it involves a long screw.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Puns aside, obviously it's the weight of the clock that's more significant than the size...a decent screw in brick will be pretty strong. If it's *really* heavy, you could look at putting a picture hook up, using 2 or three screws to give a bit more strength...

Don't do the No Nails stuff.... there are many reasons why you might want to remove the clock in the future .....

I agree with idiophreak. Although 60cm may seem huge it is not size that matters. Most wall clocks are mounted in a lightweight frame and have very cheap very light electronics and a small battery. The battery will normally keep it going for up to 6 months. If the clock weighs under about 2Kg you should be able to get instant gratification with a picture hanger. Otherwise, check the load rating of various products in a DIY shop and make sure you drill the right hole for the product. There you have it - a well hung clock

I Assumed the No More Nails was to hold the wall plug better in a misdrilled hole, rather than taking the clock...

still no need for it though.

As others have said - how much does it weigh? probably not much.
