Ha ha! Yes thats what I meant. lol :rotfl:0 -
There is a special offer on from TalkTalk, which was shown in today's weekly newsletter from MSE.
They are offering what I mentioned above but if I sign up by tomorrow, I get £75 Love to Shop vouchers thrown into the deal.
This could well be the clincher. I'll sleep on it and make the decision tomorrow morning."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
Don't forget to go through a cashback site as well regardless of who you choose.0

Just to let you know I've signed up with TalkTalk for Phone Line and Broadband for just over £19 per month. This is more than £7 per month cheaper than BT, and I get unlimited broadband plus free caller display and other goodies.
In addition, I will receive a £75 Love to Shop Voucher, which I will put towards a new BluRay player from Argos.
Whether I have made the right decision remains to be seen. I know that I shall not be a customer of TalkTalk for the 48 years I've been with BT."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
I thought I'd give you an update of my transition from BT to Talk Talk.
After having the Talk Talk service for two whole months, last week I went back to BT for my broadband and telephone service.
From day one with TT, my broadband connection was intermittent, often going off completely several times a day, for periods ranging from minutes to several hours.
Trying to talk to them was almost impossible, having to deal with call centres in India or wherever. After two months of hassle, which included an engineer coming to my home, I had had enough and emailed the CEO of TT. Within a day, I had spoken to a gentleman in her office and it was agreed I could leave without penalty for the 10 months contract I had left to run.
My BT service has been running for a week now, and it's not been down once.
So I've learnt a valuable lesson. Saving a few quid pales into insignificance if you don't have a reliable service on which you can depend."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
A whole week and not been down once .....I can see why that would seem like an improvement on TT but my expectation for my talk and BB is not been down in a year LOL
I've had Sky for six years and have lost service twice in that time for 24 hours, my partner has Virgin and pretty much the same record.
I work in BB support and whilst I understand what can go wrong and how some fixes aren't quick especially if OpenReach need to dig I do find TT and BT from what I hear from customers who have moved from these companies seem to have more than their fair share of taking months to resolve.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I am currently in dispute with TalkTalk as they seem to be very easily able to dismiss my ongoing line fault that I reported in April 2014. TT customer service has been diabolical in the extreme and I am understating here.
After going through this forum with a fine tooth comb, I don't see many complaints about Virgin? Do I take this to mean that they would be a half-decent provider?
Call me thick, but I would love a clear explanation - does going with cable mean no more landline issues???
Any feedback/advice is very gratefully received - thank you.

2. Have you got Sky TV currently? and if so, are you out of minimum contract period? Then you might be able to negotiate a good deal with Virgin for the whole comms package.0 -
we did a very smooth transaction across to virgin , i thought it would be a nightmare but actually its been fine0
