Is it still possible to apply for this and get £5 if you spend over £300 if you have the reward current account. Still mentioned in main site article but I can find nothing on the halifax web site.

The standard Clarity T&Cs also have a section on the Reward payment...

i have finally called halifax as i have mastercard clarity. As it turns out they don't do the clarity reward no more. I thought i had the spend over 300 to get £5 back. Can anyone confirm if there was just a clarity card or if it should be the reward one?
I opened it back in 2010 under the impression is was a reward cc. Finally checked and have never had the £5 cashback. Just need to find out what this cc i have actually is lol.
Thanks in advance0 -

Yes.

The T+Cs are here http://www.halifax.co.uk/creditcards/low-rate-no-fee/clarity-card/terms/
See section 11 regarding the £5 reward payment.0 -
I thought we'd established "confirmation" on your other thread? You didn't meet the T&Cs for the Clarity Rewards when you "entered into the agreement"...and that's why you don't get your £5 Reward payment.i have finally called halifax as i have mastercard clarity. It's all well and good calling them, but if you write to them I think you'll get a different answer!
As you were told on your other thread, the way forward is to close the card, wait a while, and re-apply (if you now meet the eligibility criteria of course).0 -
Thanks. I see section 11 in t &cs has an a, b. And c. Am I correct to assume there should be an or between a and b and b and c.0

Read the T+Cs supplied when you obtained the card or ask Halifax for a copy of them.
There used to be two separate products. The Clarity card and the Clarity Reward card.
Now there is only one product available to new applicants called the Clarity card which does pay the £5 reward provided you qualify.0 -
Yes, or perhaps it would have been clearer to add the words "meet one of the following criteria" to the end of the statement, ie...Thanks. I see section 11 in t &cs has an a, b. And c. Am I correct to assume there should be an or between a and b and b and c.
"...you must, at the time you enter into this agreement, meet one of the following criteria:-"0 -
I have the reward current account which requires £750 pay in to get the fiver. I spot the trick here I think as I'll have to up it to £1000 TO qualify for the second fiver. NOTE TO SELF METHINKS!!!0

I wasn't questioning the fact I don't get the cash back. I was phoning to cancel CBC. They asked why and I told them I wanted a reward one. The lady checked and said that credit card is no longer available and hasn't been for some time.0
