help pcn

Options
Hi i recently received a pcn in the post for parking in a iceland carpark and not displaying a £1 ticket that i had to buy and then refund at checkout. The pcn was sent to my old address as i havent change my details with dval as yet. Do i ignore the letter as its in my old address details or do i reply to it? What is the worse that can happen if i ignore it?

Oh i still go to collect my mail from old address.

Thank you.

It would be helpful if you tell us who ticketed you. If that is a private company was this in England or Wales ?

Yes because they may not be in an ATA AOS so it's relevant

Okay look at the sticky thread by coupon mad below, it's right at the top of the forum, in post #1 you will see wording too appeal this ticket now. If they reject , the second stage appeal is popla, we can help you with that, don't do it alone.

Well update the address at the top, tell them that the registered keeper now resides at whatever address you are at now. But please make sure that whoever lives at your old address now forwards any mail to you, because these scummy companies try it on very often.

And update your address on your V5 , it's an offence to not give the dvla your correct details.

You need to keep a very close eye on this. Two different addresses is a real invite to PPCs to mess you about by purporting to send to the former address, with you then not replying and 'timing out' on certain steps of this process.

Make sure your successors at your former premises always redirect/hand you any post that comes your way to that address - until such time as this PCN is totally 'dead in the water'.

Excel can be litigious, so extra vigilance is necessary here!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Also post it via the post office with a free proof of postage, and send it via email if possible. Just don't give them any excuse to not replying to you.
