O2 are after me!!!!! Helppp!!!
Hi, i used to have a contract with O2, but my deal was C**P so i went to a cashback deal with mobile connections!!! However O2 are sending me a bill for my last month for £85. However i have forgot to pay this, and im now broke! O2 have sent me a few letters and a few phone calls saying there going to disconnect my line. I was like fine because im not even with them. However i do plan to pay the money on Thursday 12th July, but im scared they're gonna send the debt collectors round. And my parents are going to kill me. Any advise???
Should i call them??
Regards JP

No just bury your head in the sand and it will all go away!
Yes, of course you should call them and discuss things, you may be able to pay them back over a few months. Remember this will affect your credit rating! Just phone them and get something sorted, you'll feel much better if you do......0 -

If you say you can pay by 12 July, call and explain this to O2.
I know it's stressful but try not to worry too much. Generally the issue is not sold onto debt collectors for a good while, the company want to try to keep your custom so will try to intimidate you into paying them, then if they really have no luck they'll pass the case onto someone else but this is usually after an extreme minimum (and that's the worst possible case scenario) of 14 days. Remember you must be given the right to respond so they can't just send you a letter on Monday and take you to court on Tuesday.
Phone them, explain, if you're really strapped even by the 12th pay off the line rental part (if there is one) and discuss installment options.
Note that when I was in contract and got a £100 bill for going way over minutes, they would not accept installments, but did accept a pre-bill date credit card payment - OK so it didn't help as I still paid the full £100 within a week albeit one by CC and one by DD but just to let you know.
H.Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.0
