By lag do you mean it keeps pausing, that the sound / image is out of sync or that every now and then their is a frame drop? in the TV settings is there any mention of digital noise reduction or different picture modes? I had problems with a nowTV box on one of my samsungs where it would drop frames making it very jumpy to watch. I turned off the digital noise reduction and all was fine.

Thank you. I have now returned the TV to Tesco and will start looking again another time.

Is it lag, as above, or smearing? How is the TV when you are watching something via its Freeview tuner?

Assuming you have the same issues with the freeview tuner built into it then its an issue with the TV and not the source.

Start off by turning off all the "enhancements" in the menu system. Cant see a manual online but can be things like "noise reduction", "depth enhancement" and "dynamic contrast". Basically anything that is taking up processor time and thus possibly creating a lag

Ah, I was wondering if there might be a solution.

The 'lag' shows , for example..... a person moving their head across the width of the screen - the back of the head is sill in original position when the front of the head is in new position. It's only for a moment but definitely visible.

Ticker tape type writing across the bottom of the screen (news programmes) seems to jump/shake its way across.

Unfortunately I don't have access to a TV signal in the room where I wanted the TV. I was simply gong to use it as a screen to watch catch up TV using a Youview box.

I have an old CRT Panasonic TV and the set up works really well on this.
I wanted a lovely slim line flat screen Tv so that I could have more space and smarten the room up a bit.

The TV has now gone back to Tesco.
