Mobile haggling for another sim?

Hi! I've been very happy using samba mobile which unfortunately has just closed down. I would move to pay as you go (as in pay per megabyte) but they don't really exist for tablets and I don't want to pay a minimum of £5 a month for something which I so rarely use.
Anyway, my question is that in a few months my mobile contract with EE will end and I've haggled before but has anyone bargained their way into a free sim plan for their tablet before? Somehting small, like 300MB a month maybe?

Giffgaff don't care what device you put their sims in if you don't have an unlimited data plan.
20p for the first 20Mb in a day, 20p a megabyte after that.0
