    I think the bed is about 1.5m x 1m

    Not from the photo.
That raised bed is going to be very full , very quickly. But you can easily remove something later on.

No, you're right. I was estimating in my head and got a bit carried away :D

So you think leave them now to establish and sort themselves out then move some later?

    Thanks,

I would move the gooseberry, if you have space for it elsewhere

They do make big bushes, at least a yard across

You could, room permitting again, let the gooseberry grown on and layer some shoots for more plants, easy to do, but space may be problem in years to come

Too be honest.I would actually start again. Raspberries/ goose/ rhubarb and even strawberries don't need a raised bed, they are hardy, don't mind poor soil and a raised bed is wasted on them .
Can't you plant them somewhere else and use the raised bed for salad crops ?

I used my berry bushes to start a hedge.

    Thanks Wallbash.

Appreciate what you're saying but we have them in a raised bed as we also have a dog... I don't fancy the idea of the dog peeing over fruit I will be eating!

The raised bed behind it has salad crops, herbs etc. and we also have another raised bed for a few other things so I don't think we really need the space for anything else.

Think I will leave them for a little while, keeping an eye on them as they start to grow then move them over when they start to get bigger. Don't want to kill them!

Why not just buy dwarf varieties of gooseberries & Raspberries? both are readily available online (might have sold out at your local nursery/ garden centre by now) and these varieties happily grow in pots so will be ideal for your raised bed.

Someone planted 2 raspberry canes in my garden 3 years ago. For the first 2 years there was no growth. Last year I gave away 150 raspberry plants and tried to kill off the remainder but I now have at least 5 new plants surfacing. Beware, they can take over a garden.
