Can't complain chaps, my wife is a Bank Manager, has been working in the banking industry for over twenty years, it's paid for holidays, cars, home improvements and the quarterly and annual bonuses are fantastic, my head won't pop, I love the benefits she's privileged with.
Myself, Civil Servant, absolutely no complaints, pay is good, benefits great and if we're honest has anyone in the Public Sector really experienced a hard days work?
I know I haven't.................
...yet you whine like a five year old when you have to pay £35 charge which is in the T&C you agreed to. There is a God!0 -

Yes. I'm whining. Not about the £35, believe me it really wouldn't change my life. I'm whining about unjust charges. And. The charges the insurers make are unjust. Just like PPI and OD charges etc. But you can claim them back because someone realised they were unjust. One day someone will knock the insurance industry into shape too. Like I said, the sum I've paid to insure my kids is totally unjust, they are no more of a risk than me, it's all down to individuals, not all twenty year olds think they're Lewis Hamilton..............0 -

Most insurance doesn't work on individuals' risk though. You've made it more individualised by taking a telematics policy and got a reduce premium in return. Both my kids have had to have telematics boxes as I wouldn't be able to afford their insurance without them and the boxes and conditions are far too restrictive, measuring braking (what happens if you need to brake hard for a road crossing child) cornering Gs, acceleration (again what happens if you need to accelerate of overtake your way out of danger), speed limitations and this is the killer, a curfew, they aren't allowed to drive between 11pm and 5am, difficult for my son who works part time in a 24 hour supermarket!
If they break the above conditions they are fined or penalised on their renewals.not all twenty year olds think they're Lewis Hamilton..............
Then you shouldn't have a problem with your kids proving they don't drive like Lewis Hamilton then!0 -
Just to put you in the picture, it was £2400 against £1800 for my daughter and £4000 against £2600 for my son. Would you go with the lower price and telematics box? Are you that affluent that you like giving your money away to the insurance stealers?0 -

As I mentioned earlier I am going to pay £106.25 for my car insurance for the next 12 months which I think you'll agree is cheap? Should I be charged more 'up front' maybe £160 in case I change anything or should I pay per change?
It would be unjust to charge me extra on my premium for something I have never done or intend to do, but if I do It's my choice because I agreed to and understood that deal..
BTW my daughter worked and saved and paid for her own car insurance.0 -

I understand everything in this post except the last sentence.
What does that statement have to do with anything? Both mine are in full time education so it's be rather difficult for them to work, save and pay for their own cars.0
