Armtrac Security - Parking ticking in Cornwall

Hello good people,
I have recently received a letter from Armtrac Security, stating that I received a parking charge notice at one of their car parks about 2 months ago, for the reason 'Ticket expired'.
I absolutely 100% did not have any parking charge on my car on the date they have said (and haven't for well over 3 years). Unless some !!!!!! removed the ticket from my car before I got back, then I have no explanation. But other than that, I am pretty certain I wouldn't have stayed longer than my ticket. I go to said car park a few times a year, and after hearing many complaints from other people about how tight the owner is, I never push my luck.
Anyway, because this is the first I have heard of this, they are saying that I have missed my reduced rate, and I have to pay £100 within 28 days.
EDIT - was reading old posts, sorry
I don't want this to spiral out of control, but I also feel a bit confused about what to do.
Thanks

For a start, this is not a fine, it's just an invoice from a private parking company. Please read the "newbies" thread which will give you all the informantion you need about this matter. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Can you show us the threads that tell you to ignore this?
We can help you get rid of this very easily, but 'ignore' is not the way to do it!
Please read the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of the forum index, everything you need is in it, but do come back if there's something you don't understand. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

What threads are you reading? We haven't advised ignore in over a year! Start by looking at threads only for 2014 in the main parking forum, then read this thread below so you can get CURRENT advice.

Once you've done that come back to this thread to ask questionsWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

OK, sorry for that. I viewed a few posts from google, and didn't realise they were from 2010 - 12. Sorry.
Anyway, I've looked through the flowchart, and read through the newbie post etc, but not sure if I should mention in my appeal that I never received an initial fine and that this is the first letter I have received, or if I should just follow the normal appeal as is?
Thanks for the help.0 -
Stay with the template which is tried and tested. Embellishing it with mitigating circumstances just muddies the water and won't bring you any different result.
We've had people making appeals who were parked in life or death situations explaining their circumstances - even these were insufficient to persuade the PPC to take their hands out of the motorist's pocket.
Your appeal to the PPC will inevitably be rejected - what you're after is a POPLA code where, again using a different template and our advice on your draft, you will win this. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

So I have to make the appeal to the PPC, which will inevitably be rejected, but then only after this I get a POPLA code and send another appeal?
I'm still a bit confused about all the terminology, but I'm sure after going through the newbie post a couple more times it will make more sense.
Thank you0 -
1st appeal (using the template from the NEWBIES thread) goes to the PPC.
If (when) they reject it they (should) issue a POPLA code.
You draft a POPLA appeal in this thread for comment, we refine it, you use it to appeal to POPLA (not the PPC) and you wait for the (winning) assessment.0 -
Thank you very much. Starting to make some sense, and I really appreciate the help.

Please don't call it a "fine" in any of your communications. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

OK, why is that exactly?0
