Thanks for coming back so quickly. I can clarify that the 'new' iPhone 5s is an upgrade. It is not a replacement or an insurance claim replacement.

That's why, like you I understand it to be mine, and hence why I am pretty annoyed that they are refusing access to something that is not theirs, but mine to do with as I please. In a way I could understand if they blocked it from their own network to avoid fraudulent costs incurred to them, but that's not what they offered!

Thanks, I will wait to see what response I get from the salty email I sent them and then I'll contact Lee and put him in the picture.

Thanks for making me aware of this.

So I can help you further, could you ask your wife email me with her details via the link in our profile here?

All she'll need to do is copy and paste the link into her web browser and it'll take her to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me, she'll also need to quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line.

Once sent, she'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Post back with this and I’ll check I've received it.
