Yep, the day we got her at rescue.
Mostly for my neice's benefit, as she made her a card and present.0 -
Ours get their favourite treats.
We know Salem's actual DOB and he gets extra treats for his birthday (some extra dreamies and a extra stick treat), he will only eat kibble and occasionally will lick the jelly off pouch food. Gizmo was approx. 12 weeks when we got him so we counted back 12 weeks and picked a date, on his birthday he gets a slice of ham and some freshly oven cooked chicken breast for tea. Our newest addition Misty is approx. 7 moths old so again we have picked her DOB, when she's 1 she will get what ever proves to be her favourite treat.0 -
Telling him I suppose I might hang onto him for a little while longer, instead of mentioning the hole in the garden that has his name on it.
That's as good as it gets in our house.
I can't actually remember the day he came to stay as it was accidental so I've made up a birthday for his pet insurance going on the guesstimates of his age. I suspect I'll forget it though when the time comes round. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Does anyone do anything special for their pet's birthday?
Not only Ozzie's (our dog) birthday but also his anniversary (the day that he joined us). We don't do anything particularly special but I do cook him something that he likes, eg beef stew or just something simple like sausages.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
Birthdays, gotcha days and Christmas are celebrated in this house, normally by either some raw steak, sausages or some Lily's Kitchen tins. Presents on all occasions too, I swear he gets more presents than me at Christmas.
Yes, I have a very spoilt dog.

Yup. She gets a big kiss and a cuddle and I have been known to sing her Happy Birthday while I fill her bowl with a special treat...13th of August is her DOB. She'll be 7 this year.

My old cat (now sadly deceased) loved fish from the chippy. So on his birthday, I used to buy him a piece all to himself.'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

I got Barnes my cat on August 12th last year. so that will be his 'official birthday'.
he gets a new toy every month - not sure how to celebrate his birthday. A giant box of 'Dreamies' and Webbox sticks?
my last cat Nicki loved Chinese food - but the vet said it wasn't good for him - so on special occasions he got a tray of chicken chow mien (asked them not to put onion in) all to himself. (and he would only eat it from foil tray)0 -
