advice needed regarding hire car, car acident and solicitors
Hi,
A while ago i had someone reverse in to me while parked, i happen to catch them doing it and walking off, after a few back and forths i decided to claim via insurance as she was unhappy with my quotes for the repair.
My insurance company gave me a hire car for a few days and the repair was very quick ! The day after i got my car back , her insurance company sent me a recorded delivery letter stating i could have a free hire car, this was irrelevant as the matter had already sorted.
I have now recieved a solicitors letter acting on behalf of her , who have been nominated to accept service of proceedings ??? They have requested 3 months financial history , v5 insurance documents, loss of use dates ??? , and why i didnt accept the free hire car ! They mention court fees and fines too, is this just a scare tactic from her insurance group or from her?
Considering I'm in the right, she is in the wrong i find it highly stressful to recieve such a letter, can anyone put my mind at rest

Pass it all to your insurance company, they should be dealing with it all, not you.0

Sometimes its easier to claim directly from the other party's insurer. But you
claimed directly from yours so your insurer has now sent them a bill thats probably bigger than they would have paid if you went direct.
Not your problem. You wanted a quick resolution to the incident and your happy.
As above pass it to your insurer and if they contact you tell them to speak to your insurer directly. You are not going to communicate with them.
They are trying to minimise the amount they payout.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Why would they need your financial history and v5?0
