Cheap SIM free mobile for taveling

Hi folks,

I'm looking at buying a SIM free phone so I can by a cheap pay as you go SIM in the country I am visiting.

I'm already on the EE international roaming tariff - which is is awesome because I travel most months, but there are some countries that it doesn't cover.

Are there any current recommendations for a cheap SIM free phone? It will need to be triband or quadband so it is compatible with the frequencies in different countries. I just want a basic model that will text and call as I have a smart phone that I can do everything else with with a wifi connection.

I came across a very cheap offer from a company I have never heard of called UK cellphone shop, but became a bit wary when I saw the feedback on the internet. I also though £15 inc for a new, albeit non branded phone, seemed a bit too good to be true.

I've looked on Ebay and I am quite shocked at the price battered old second hand handsets cost!

Thanks in advance, Lee
