Parking eye ticket - please help

Hi all,

I have received a ticket from PE for £70, reduced to £40 if paid by 1/5/14.

This was for a stay on the 12th April outside Home Bargains / Aldi in Bedworth.

It states that I stayed for 2 hours 12 minutes, with photo evidence attached.

Can you please advise me of the appeals process and how to go about it - should I first contact PE on their appeals page, or write to them or something else?

I cannot find any receipts for that date (although I do know we did use the shops and have it on my credit card as spending £41 in HB).

Any help really appreciated.

Many thanks

Matt

You don't seem to be new to this forum so you should know about sticky threads. The answer to all your questions are in the 'newbies' sticky thread at the top of the parking board. Have a read of that which will tell you exactly what you need to do and when.

Hi Matt, welcome to the parking forum board. Please start again at square one and don't pass 'go' until you've read the 'PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!' thread at the top:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

Please read the top thread and learn how/when to appeal (the registered keeper appeals). We have 100% record of winning appeals at POPLA stage, for over a year now.

In your case it is PE and you have a receipt (credit card proof of purchase is the same thing). So add a point #4 to the usual appeal template to say ' The driver and passengers were genuine customers and I attach a copy of a credit card statement to prove a £41 purchase which was one of several transactions at the stores. '

You won't even need POPLA stage. PE will cancel if you can show the payment to the shop. You can appeal to them online so it costs nowt.

Thanks so much for the info and advice...

    "Dear Sir / Madam,

We refer to the Parking Charge incurred on 12 April 2014 at 14:07:32, at ALDI Bedworth car park.

We can confirm that this Charge has been cancelled and there is no outstanding payment due on this account.

    Kind Regards,

    ParkingEye Team"
