BT Mail Multiple Enforced Password Changes

I have been with BT for some years, broadband and phone. Since change over to BT mail (from Yahoo) I have been forced to change passwords (on both my email accounts) 2 or 3 times a week for at least at month. I use Outlook (10) and IOS7 to access. I get message saying password incorrect and then when logging in via BT Mail page get told there has been suspicious activity on the accounts and need to change password. I have spent long frustrating hours on the phone to no avail. Nobody at BT seems to accept this or understand it. They blame Microsoft and Apple! I have even been told that BT Mail cannot be set up as IMAP. Have submitted written complaint but no confidence in the service. I consider that in the absence of a viable email service that they have broken our contract. Want to move to Plusnet but without charges. Anyone have any advice as I am losing the will to live!!!!!
