Thanks Sal:). Such a shame that we find out these wombles late in the day on Sunday again. The M price will be fine tomorrow but just not wanting that mbuy to correct itself for a new day as it will now have to be if we're going to buy these.

When I make homemade burgers I use the egg yolk and breadcrumbs to the mince and onions and don't forget pepper and salt.0 -
Afternoon all
Nice weather we are having
This might be nothing but when I was in Tosco earlier the staff were going through the Pepsi 500ml bottles. And removing the bottles with a face on the bottle a footballer or some sports person on the print
Was not allowed to get one so I don’t know what the score is with them0 -
7 pack of Heinz beans still scanning at 80p today.
Found 2 trays of them (3 packs in each) on the top shelf of an Extra, so it seemed rude not to relieve T of these surplus items
Counted up when I got home, and I now have over 120 tins of beans (still had a few left over from the last A glitch).
Should last us a year or so, and BBE date is July on the latest ones0 -

Yet again I went for the 335g Broccoli (50p vs 49p M) as other person in this household keeps using them all up when they have a meal:wall:. To be fair the previous one I bought a day or so ago is still fully in the fridge, but another just in case... (and it counts as a new item, towards the total for another shop, buying only one at a time:T). SP frozen broccoli of course works out cheaper per kg (even after an increased price compared to months before) but the florets are a bit smaller aren't they (not that that matters much as they all go down the same mouths anyway) and hey I prefer the fresh versions!()
I think point I'm trying to work to;), is that I bought one only the other day vs T. Today's shop vs M. I noticed that Mr T, within the space of days, is now back up to £1 again:(:(:eek:. So much for trying to offer best value or be entering a price war with others. No wonder people shop at Aldi! This is what gets me with Mr T - one of many things but this one in particular - how their whole business operation appears to be based on price increase back up again, down again, up again, down again. Back up to inflated prices so they can say next week they are 'half price' (when no-one in their right sense would buy at the £1 price, unless they were attempting to do a price comparison shop). In fact, at least for us, the true price is 49p/50p as that's the only time we'd buy them: we'd never buy at £1 (or if we did would be comparing vs 50p/49p anyway). So why not just say constant 49p/50p is the real price? Thus making the 'half price' claim very doubtful.
This does seem to be more strikingly the case at Mr T. Some of this can be seen on msm - for example I think the Cadbury Choc Puddings on the price graphs on msm have shown T as £1 one week, £2, then £1, then £1, then £2. Sharp ups and downs constantly repeated throughout the graph, with no stable point at which they were £1 (or £2) for much longer and then changed (unlike as it is the case with the price graphs for other stores). The pudding were the one that stuck in my mind (from when I saw a price graph like this, on the T side of msm, some months ago). Whereas other stores, on other products too, do seem to have more established pricing, T seems to be up and down, arguably masking the true price, and just has me buying and then not buying in A at the relevant time.
When I bought the Broccoli and Iceberg vs T yesterday (or day before - days fade into one another;)...),I thought I'd seen T at 49p on both of them but wasn't totally sure. Of course I omitted to check everything before I went off to A!! I took a punt, as I seemed to have in my mind that T was 49p on both - and indeed it was, I was right, on the day of my shop. But there we are now... the Broccoli now up to £1:eek:. Just shows why I have these issues with T and why it has us having to check and make sure we're buying at the right moment. At least vs M I've been able to compare the broccoli to 49p more consistently.
Thank you M for remaining at 49p. And, grrr... T, I hate you, again, as you trying to mess up my A shopping!:(:( (Always T's fault when anything goes wrong for me at A:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.)
[Edit:  I did write a load of detailed stuff here, a whole essay, about the matter:rotfl::rotfl:.]0
