I wouldn t really call them holiday camps like Butlins etc but more of a retreat and a place to go for peace and quiet among the trees and flora and fauna. No cars are allowed in the place apart from maintenance people etc .

It's a relaxed pace of life and people don't feel the need to be fully made up and hair done . You pay for most of the wide range of activities but the dome and swimming area s included in the price.

People can do as little or as much as they like. Not a cheap holiday but if two families go in the same accommodation it s half the cost each. We ve been going since the kids were small and 2 of the 3 of them love it there and go most years .

Best to google it and you can find out more than I've said :D

Yes best to get a 4 bedroom one and go as a big extended family or friends group.
Make a menu plan of sorts and take all your food.
We tended to go straight after Christmas or very early Jan to whinfeld - nearly always had snow when we had pre teens - it felt like an enchanted place :)

I ate everything when pregnant apart from soft cheeses.

I loved the iron tablets! I had more energy than even before I got pregnant

Have you tried the http://www.centerparcs.com/EN/GB/offer/holiday-villages?pageplacement=navlinks"]ones over the Channel? My friends used the Dutch ones recently. Much cheaper but with slightly less in the way of sports facilities. Can combine it with a shopping spree on the way home.

Was starting to think Mr T's had forgot about me, finally just getting The Orchard steak vouchers. Leads me to another questions, is it safe for my OH to eat steak? She's 24wks with her first baby, I've read a ton of things saying yes, no & only if but wouldn't mind some personal advice if anybody has some?

Was starting to think I wasnt going to get an invite but just have :D shes fine to eat steak as long as its well done

Missed the OP regarding this, are there centerparcs abroad? I am a BIG fan of them. I know they are expensive but as others have said if you share the accommodation and meal plan it is doable.:D just
