Oh yes definately! Her speech improved massively afterwards......these days she gives me no end of lip! :D BUT I do think children learn quicker? and easier
Don't get me wrong to listen to her, you can still tell she has a hearing impairment...she still has 'volume' problems and what I call 'squeaks' :o
Does your sis have any speech or has she relied on signing and/or lip reading?
I don't mind at you asking at all :)

She's a stroppy teenager at the moment and has said a few times she wishes she could switch us all off :o another thing about having it done as an adult......she won't take it for granted! :)

Oh I can remember my sister as a teenager she was he'll to live with :rotfl:

Thanks it's good to talk to someone who knows what I'm talking about.. She uses lip reading mostly but signs a lot when she is with friends that are deaf and has started teaching the children to sign although I can understand my sister a lot better than I can her friends but I think that might be because I am use to her sounds (if that makes sense) yet my partner can have a good conversation with her boyfriend yet I find it hard to understand him as he does not really use his voice where as my sister does and has always asked me to correct her words if she is saying something wrong. I am hoping that this will really help her if she does hear as she will know so much already .

No it is not a great idea. Lots of people of all ages and experience join in on this thread. People who like a chinwag and a laugh together. Lots of lonely people too who like the friendship involved and who need to share their downfalls and look for support.
I believe there are other threads where you don't have to be bothered by friendly banter. Why not go on there?

Yup, there surely are, but I put up with the drivel to get the glitches, but I do like the opportunity to moan about it give the chance. To me, this is the best place for glitches & I've been on here for enough years to know that.

Don't worry about those who "seem" to come & go - all it means is they come back under a different name. Been out tonight & come back to about 15 pages, so will have to take my chances that nothing major has happened tonight as not got time to wade.

Btw, didn't realise there was a copyright to FB, lol!

Pepsi (Regular 8 can pack - apologies folks fed up of me always adding these extra qualifying words but need to ensure people get the correct ones) not yet missed! Still expecting it to work tomorrow (earlier in the day if possible). Don't know - does it get risky towards Monday afternoon or does it work into Tuesday? Womblers who are here during weekdays will know whether M prices generally update at some point during Tuesday or whether Monday is a partial day for the price collection we need (in other words, the current one from last Wednesday - do not want the info. from the new one being carried out tomorrow (I think)!).

And Quaker 1kg oats now too - in fact if we've only now become aware, some of us are trying them tomorrow (fortunately this is the M collection so will work if caught before the update).

    Thank savvy :) x

    [1] Strange comparison tonight.

    my Victoria sponge compared £4.00 v £2.40 a v t
I did put a couple of nutri grain bars in my shop as thought they were a v s but they compared £2.18 to £1.50 a v t

So not a perfect shop but did get a bit back so not all bad. Must keep a comparison list with me when I shop. [2]Too many glitches against too many stores at the moment so need to be more organised.

    Had a lovey afternoon anyway.

Talkiñg of special birthdays I cruised the New Zealand Fiords on my 40th.

Dd has booked Premier inn near Alton Towers for her 30th on a whim thursday as was £25. So will be using a 2 for 1 ticket and taking dgd to Ceebies land.
Did quite well on the premier inn sale as also got room in Fareham in June for end of her Sun holiday in Weymouth so they can extend holiday to go to Peppa pig land.

SD terrible news for you and your friend. I really can't imagine it.
Lutz I hope life starts being kinder to you.

Tomorrow I think will be a nsd at home planning my nectar double up and hunting out my sable watercolour brushes which appear to have gone astray.

[1] When you start with this, my eyes p-rick up:D. ( Oh come on mse, it's legitimate use of word - replacing that with 5 exclamations(!):rotfl:) Folks, ignore my "-" - I'm not pausing and saying it in that paused way, bloomin' mse won't let me be accurate in this post!

    [2] :rotfl:

In fact - I'm just looking at my last post (with the Quaker's in it) and just can't help but :rotfl::rotfl: when I look at it!:rotfl::rotfl::money::rotfl::D Oops - got too trigger-happy (no pun;)).:rotfl:
