So the nicer weather is here and I'm back to walking the dogs round the edge of some local fields. At the moment the Rapeseed is in full bloom and although it looks so lovely Rape doesn't smell so great. Anyway, I digress, someone, in the past week has taken to picking their dogs mess up in old Morrisons bags and instead of taking them home has taken to hanging the bags of poo in the trees! Every time I walk my two I spot a few more bags of sh1te swinging in the wind....why why why? Does the person that's doing this think the poo fairy is going to come and clean up after them? If you care enough to pick the poo up, then for goodness sake take it home. I'd love to catch them in the act of 'poo hanging'.

Because they are brain dead numpties!
I can understand your frustration... we have an owner who consistently doesn't clean up.. on the verge, on the paths, on people's lawns. Hey, but we never see the guilty party. There's always at least one irresponsible owner where ever you go ..........(oh, and sometimes loads of them!)Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Same around here. It's not just people hanging bags on trees, Me and DH were talking to a lady the other day who picked up her doggy doo, and just left the poop bag on the grass.
She might as well have not bothered and let the rain wash it away. It's still there, not surprisingly. There have been a few who have let their dog poop on the path of our local walk, and the thing is, they let them poop right next to the poop bin. It doesn't take 30 seconds to bag it and chuck it in.
I will never understand the habit some folks have in regards to decorating trees with full bags, it's horrible. :mad:BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

There's an old lady in my area who does this. She claims that if it's hanging from a tree it can't be walked in, so job done...!!!0

I do hate to see the poo bags hanging from trees and never understand why people do it BUT at least it is better than leaving it on the ground. Where I live at least 1 owner must regularly walk their dog along a set route and never clears up after their dog (obviously quite a large dog!). Also my local park is covered in dog mess - all across the grass and parts of the path. It annoys me so much. I do always clear up after my dog but I do sometimes wonder why I bother and I do wish my local council would put in some more binsThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0

sadly however many bins there are doesn't affect the number of people who refuse to clear their refuse! (Sorry , thought I'd be clever there!) I mean they are just party poopers who leave their poop!
Interestingly the dog warden came and stencilled on one of the worst offending pathways in white- and for quite a while the situation improved- but now the sign has almost worn away, so poop has returned.
I would love to know when the offence happens because we (I mean other dog walkers too) never see a dog in action. We would be saying something since it gets everyone a bad name.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

There's a footpath sign near my house that seems to have become an official dumping ground for bags full of poo. Every day the pile gets bigger, and it must be different people because the bags are all different. I have absolutely no idea why even one person would do it, let alone others joining in! There's even a poo bin about 20 metres away so no excuse. Does crowd mentality really go that far?!0

If I'm walking a there-and-back route I will leave a bag in a prominent place and pick it up on the return journey - but I've never hung it from a tree. Bizarre behaviour! Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!

Goodness that's far too far to walk! they don't want to carry a full poo bag with them! (and yes I carry mine)
I'd be having a word with the council and saying this could be a health hazard encouraging rats etc. See what action they take. Perhaps it needs a litter bin there?Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
