'Parking ticket' for six seconds

Hi, I've just received a parking ticket for six seconds at Doncaster Robin Hood airport.
I went to pick up my girlfriend and wasn't sure wether to go in or not so I turned around the roundabout and 'parked' up to check the flight details. I already had my phone accessed to the airport site so it was a matter of just refreshing and checking. As soon as I 'parked' in an out of use entrance with cones blocking it off a van was behind me and was videoing me, so I quickly drove off.
I got letter through today and it registered a start time of 12.24.07, and the end time as 12.24.13. A measly six seconds 'parked up'.
I am going to appeal but wanted to know what to say. I was thinking of saying the car stalled as I pulled away and it took me a few seconds to restart it. I know a lot of people say don't pay, but I don't want someone knocking on my door demanding payment. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

plenty of info on how to deal with this in the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of this forum
there are also dozens of similar threads on the same issue (you are not the first and wont be the last either), so use the search term robin hood in the search box , find these other cases and plagiarise them to defend yourself and appeal to the PPC and then to popla , using the same legal arguments0 -

Do not base your appeal on this .... This is mitigation.
Mitigation alone will not win any appeal at POPLA
.The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]
PPC Appeals: 8 [accepted: 2, rejected: 5, pending: 1]

Welcome to the forum. Please start again at square one and don't pass 'go' until you've read the 'PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!' thread at the top:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163
Please read the top thread and learn how/when to appeal (the registered keeper appeals) and then how to win at POPLA like all these people did:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4911394
We have 100% record of winning appeals at POPLA stage, for over a year now. As CC says, also simply search this forum for 'Robin Hood Airport' and copy what others have used as their POPLA appeals, as we always win. Here's one like yours at the same stage:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4956587
But a simple 'search this forum' of keywords 'Robin Hood' would find you all the dozens of others recently where people have already won at POPLA.Frixster1975 wrote: »I am going to appeal but wanted to know what to say. DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
