Name wrong on Credit Card

i'm not really sure what problems it might cause, but if i were you i would want it to be right, so i would contact them and request it to be corrected.
Obvious one might be that Credit Reference agencies 'MAY' not link it to your credit file, which would be a pain if you're in a position of trying to build a credit history.0 -
Hey guys thanks for all the replies thought I'd update, I contacted them and they sent me out an amended card with the correct last name but after checking my credit report from Equifax it shows the card but with the incorrect name? I would of assumed them changing the card name would change the account name but it seems I am wrong! Back to the drawing board after the bank holiday it seems!Lloyds Personal Loan #3: £5000 (£4743)
Ps. excuse spelling/grammar all posts to this site are from mobile devices

So I got blagged into a House Of Fraser credit card when purchasing a new purse (oops #1) but that's all fine and dandy will just be using for the points collection and paying off every month but after just receiving the card the have spelt my last name wrong, I'm used to this as normally either my forename or surname are spelt incorrectly. (Thanks mum and dad ha) I filled out the form with my right name obviously so this is a mistake on their side, but my question is does this affect anything and does it need rectifying?

The name on the card is the account name which has a bearing where the account name is used, for example when buying by mail order or online. In that case you would have to insert a different name on the card details which the retailer might regard as someone else's card and possible fraud.
Yes the card needs to be rectified.0
