Mr Doovde's spreadsheet worked for most people last year, but I must have an ancient version of excel or something, because it didn't just beaver away for me - I had to press a button on each word.

So I've looked at the macro on Mr Doovde's, and compared it to Pealy's fixed version from the previous year. I've tried to cobble together a spreadsheet that includes Mr Doovde's improvements, but will also work for people like me who couldn't use that spreadsheet properly. I've also changed it for 8 codes instead of 10.

I'm just looking at how to create a google document so you can all access the one I've cobbled together, but I can't guarantee it will work. If not we'll have to use Mr Doovde's, and just keep pressing the button if your computer is like mine :)

  • Hi all new here and am hoping this time I can get the holiday we want last time I was up all night as I will be this time but still couldn't get the holiday we wanted our youngest had open heart op and is due another op any time so I called the hospital and said we are trying to book a holiday for 25th of August just so his op doesn't tie in and they said no that's ok go ahead and book . So fingers crossed we can get that date looking at going back to bunn leisure as it was so lovely there :)
  • From last year's thread: Instructions:

You fill in the details in the green cells, with your priority reference, the remaining code words, and your email address.

Then you have to select what words you want to check, we will no doubt be allocating people blocks of code words to check, so you change the "start at line" number to the number that corresponds to the start of the words you want to check which you get from the list of words and lines to the right.

Then you press the start button and it should open an Internet Explorer window and start checking through the words from the point which you set. If it comes across the correct word then will go through to booking and I think the spread sheet will say something like The word may be FROG (for example).

You will have to allow macro's to run in excel for the checker to work, this can be found in the menu under Tools>Options>Security>Macro Security and set it to Low
In Excel 2007 you have to go into Options>Trust Centre>trust centre settigs>Macro Settings and Enable all macros

Hopefully more people will volunteer and we can split this up more.
