Do EE/T-mobile spam? And if so, any luck getting them to stop?
I understand Orange T-mobile and EE have joined together.
Orange were notorious spammers. Famously people would request for texts to stop and eventually they came back
I just signed up for t-mobile.
I noticed that any time I call 150 I get a survey text asking me if i'm satisfied. And there may be monthly billing related texts as well that aren't necessary.
I called 150 managed to get through to somebody, and they spoke to their manager who will put a request in for what i'd like - all texts from them to be stopped. (apart from if I text them to see how much allowance I have left).
I will see how this goes.
Does anybosy else have any experience with this?

update-
as of 28th(so the last two days), i've had 6 automated texts from them. two about my bill, and after the call on the 26th(asking them to stop texting me), they sent me two texts. then another 2 texts on the 28th about the same call.

Some good news, and a crucial update to this.
While a tech I spoke to thought it not possible to stop them. I spoke to somebody from sales or customer services, who stopped it.
He "put a bar" on them calling or texting me.
Interestingly, I still get a response when I text AL (e.g. to see how many texts I have, it has an error re MB but anyway) but a response to a text of AL is fine. Even a good thing.
The bar has worked. I've had no spam from them since he did it. He said it'd take 24 hours to process, though I didn't get spam even after the call.0 -
They just change your contact consent on the system to stop anything coming through but if you text AL, then you are REQUESTING the information - so they send it to you.0
