I don't want a contactless credit card - what are the options?

My current provider just renewed my credit card and I have discovered it is contactless payment enabled. I asked them to remove that capability but they said it was standard.
Can someone advise on a current provider who will offer a credit card - visa or mastercard - which does not force you to have contactless payment feature? Would prefer a cashback card - without a fee - if possible but happy otherwise just to remove the CP feature.

You might be able to get some information from this thread:
List of Banks not doing contactless cardsAre you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Natwest doesn't yet include Contactless on their credit cards, as far as I'm aware Tesco and Halifax are two others who also don't.0

Why do you care whether it's contactless or not? If you have a valid objection, then I believe you can buy metallic sleeves that prevent NFC from working.0

My Halifax Clarity card is contactless.
I guess Halifax can be scratched from that list then - My other half has a clarity card that was issued ~8 months ago and it isn't contactless, and there's no obvious mention of contactless support on Halifax's site so i'd assumed that was still the case.0 -

A quick google search has turned this up

Equally, the card they provide to you belongs to them so they can add whatever features they want to help you access the account.
If you don't believe the features they provide to you are secure enough (e.g. contactless) and you are concerned they will not respond promptly if you notice a unauthorised payment on the account (for which you are totally not responsible for via the contactless agreement), then, of course, you are free to shop around.
I've had contactless for years and find it very convenient and secure - especially for low cost payments where the chance of someone seeing you enter you PIN is higher (crowded coffee shop, low cost supermarket spend etc).0 -
Theve been available for "Years"?0
