Tv license - a question about "live Tv"

I wonder if they see " catch up " online on the same basis as on the actual tv set?
Absolutely - it's not a really "tv licence for your tv" but a licence to watch or record tv broadcasting as it is being broadcast. It doesn't matter what you are watching it on, it doesn't matter what channel. All that matters is if you are watching or recording tv as it is being broadcast, on any device. And as long as you don't do this you don't need a licence
