Finally finally finally managed to sell my car today! It was a bit of a sore point really.......

I'd reduced the price by £350, still hadn't sold on eBay but it cost me £20. Parked outside the One Stop, put on Gumtree, FB, etc etc etc and not even a phone call.

Called the garage I bought it from, and they didn't get back to me yesterday. So I asked on Facebook is anyone could recommend any car dealers, but not company X as they hadn't got back to me. Cue a very angry phone call from company X telling me to take it off FB.

I still went to company X today expecting an offer of £900. They immediately offered £1,200, just £195 short of what I was trying to get for it privately. Presumably to make up for yelling at me yesterday. The cash is in my bank now so I'm pleased to have finally got rid of that burden.

So I've managed to finish just in the nick of time and more than exceeded my goal! I'm looking forward to June :)

  • I've not done very well this month but it was my first month so I am proud that I made more than a penny. :D

My totals for this month are:

    £10 ipsos compliments voucher
    £10 shopandscan B&Q voucher
£1.10 roadkill (found in 3 separate occasions)
    £25 maximiles B&Q voucher
    58p donkeymails
    £10.04 from a game win

That makes my totals for may ~ £56.72 out of £155

I am pleased with that and hope to try and achieve somewhere near the £5 a day I wanted to achieve this month, next month

Adding £1.24 from the A$da Price Guarantee, plus 56p from Qmee.

In answer to the question about using Qmee with the nectar toolbar, I've never tried it and wouldn't know for sure, but since Qmee must be making money from their arrangements with Google, Amazon and Ebay in order to pay us, I would have thought they'd have mentioned it if they had a similar arrangement with Nectar too, so I expect the answer is 'no'. I don't use the nectar toolbar, but I can't see why you wouldn't be able to run a search in the conventional way to get Qmee pennies and then run the same one again from the nectar toolbar to hoover up any points going. Others who have tried this may know different :)

Anyway, today's additions bring my total to £118.33. I can't see anything else coming in today so this is my final total for May, which means I've fallen short of my £155.00 target.

Yup. I'm a failure. A richer, wealthier failure with more than a hundred quid that I would not otherwise have had. I think I can live with this :rotfl:

See you all on the June thread - good luck, everybody!

P.S. Well done on selling the car, Emma. You must be so pleased that that particular saga isn't going to be rumbling on for any longer :)

    My total for May:

    Make £10 a day in May #28 : £98

Had some money off petrol and shopping vouchers. I'm a bit of a technophobe and not got into fleabay, so my target has been impacted by that, but hey, it's helped me stay in the black for the first time in ages
