    I've had another stroke of good luck in the shape of an electricity refund of £150.
    I also sold two things on ebay (£6.18) and found 5p roadkill.
    This brings May to a very lucky £185.99.

    I can't see anything else on the horizon for May so I'll see you in June!
    August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

    I thought it'd be really great to make some extra money so started out small not wanting to aim too high as i know how my life can be hectic. However I was quite flat to realise the month has passed and I haven't physically got anything yet.

    Qustodian=£1.33
    Roamler=£2.00
    Voxpopme=£2.97
    Clicksnap=£0.75
    Shopitize=£4.45
    Valued Opinions=£3.75
    YouGov=50 points
    Onepoll=£3.65
    Crowdology=£0.16

    BubbleWS-I’ve submitted a piece of writing but I don’t think I quite understand how it works?? Got $1.09

    Textbroker-not currently taking on authors

    iPoll-deleted I didn’t get on with the app. Walked miles to the nearest shop, answered the questions and was then told I couldn’t complete the challenge
    AppTrailers-wouldn’t work on my iphone
    Field Agent-didn’t really like the challenges on this one

    MySurvey-apparently they deleted my account as I didn’t fit their criteria??

    I need to look at pinecones haven’t had chance to yet.

    So a total for May of £19.06 but nothing one can actually receive payment for yet. I’m presuming we have to persevere. These companies appear to offer incentives but by setting the claim levels high I imagine many people lose interest and never actually meet the minimum levels to claim. I shall not be cynical though and will slog on. If anyone can offer any helpful hints or motivation it’d be greatly received.

    On the plus note after nearly having a nervous breakdown due to workload my manager has agreed to pay overtime for the extra work I've been doing. 9 hours claimed this week but I don't know how much I will get for that as normally salaried.
    Zopa: £1210.17 (£989.39) Santander: £1685.10 (£467.98)

    there is no spam with qustodian :) the app sends you a notification whdn there is a new advert. you watch it on the phone or read it or download the game and answer a question.

    that's it, a few minutes and not every day watching ads :) it will soon add up to £10.

    there is no spam, unwanted phonecalls, texts etc.

    don't forget to look at qmee too.

    That's awesome thanks. I'll download it. (Do they do a referral for new members if so pm me your details please)
    Also what's qmee? I am sooooo out of date.

    And hi again to everyone you make my blush :eek:

    Hi unethical most people on this challenge have been doing it a while so seem as though they cash out quite a lot. In reality it does take a while to build up to cashing out point. Personally I tend to stick with something until I cash out then if it has taken forever to get there then I get rid. I do try to keep going til the cash out point though.

    Keep going you will get there eventually ;)

    21p from qmee :D

    qmee is an app that you install on your computer browser (Internet explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) I think you can install on an iPad to but not kindle, as it asks for safari or higher.

    it is a search engine app. When you use your normal browser to search for something ie kindle fire hd, on the left hand side, occasionally, up will pop some suggestions, with an amount next to them ie 5p.

    you click on the first link and it takes you to that website. If you back bar, you may find some of the other links are still there. if you are quick enough, you may manage to earn from 2 or 3 links.

    nice app, that pays you for searching. doesn't pay on every search and sometimes not every day but it all adds up.

    Don't be disheartened. When you see payouts, you will soon get used to seeing where they have come from and will understand if they are fairly quick or produced over a long time.

    Qustodian is not a fast earner, unless you can get about 20 people in your network (no I don't have that many!) but asking family and friends to install the app too, if they have a smartphone using your referral link will help. Set it so you get all the adverts. You are interested in everything! download apps and play, go back and answer the question and earn another 12p, then uninstall the app. It will eventually all add up and you will be hitting £10 and payout.

    with survey sites, it does take longer to get to payout, there is no fast formula, especially as you are working too and long hours from your post.

    But it is good to choose the sites you like, and keep on with them. You will love when you start getting payouts.

    my favourite sites are shop and scan, consumer pulse, qmee, apptrailers, pinecone and panelbase.net, swagbucks now.

    But qmee and apptrailers and pinecone are the only fast payers.

    Things like ebay if you can sell stuff, emmaglet once suggested doing one day auctions on free listing days. Now we have 20 free listings a month, I do it anyway as people want their items faster. I can put the price higher and if it doesn't sell, relist automatically for free and maybe adjust the price and length of time.

    You can sell on facebook selling pages, look for your local ones by searching for buy, sell, wanted. See what comes up. Check their rules as each page is different about bumping, albums, etc.

    Sell on gumtree, that is quite popular.

    People buy from carboots/jumble sales/charity shops to resell on gumtree etc. I know for a fact one of the sellers on my facebook selling page, is buying from carboots to resell items on the facebook page.

    I send my stamps off to a man who pays postage and for the weight of the stamps. Don't sound like much, but it all adds up. He gives money to charity, I get something and the stamps don't end up in landfill or recycled paper.

    I look for foreign coins, bundle them up and send them off for cash, but have recently found some interesting ones that fetch money on ebay. I had them all sorted out until my darling son played with them and mixed them all up! back to square one.

    I think a lot of money making is selling, upcycling, competition wins, to sell, or app stuff. There are lots of apps for shopping, ie buy certain items, get money back.

    I use topcashback heavily and my money can sometimes take upto 6 months to pay out, so if you see a large amount, it may have been from months ago.

    There are sites like daily clicks, ie iMutual, you can click on certain sites, and eventually your account gets credited the money. It doesn't happen overnight though. Some good paying apps are no longer available to new customers though.

    I like looking at the Up your income board for inspiration.

    Keep at it, you will find you start making money and then you will find you are earning more each month.

    Keep reading the thread and maybe try some of the old threads for inspiration.

    if anyone is looking for a super MS company to join, I can pm you details. no referrals in it for me, just found they are super to work with.

    Got £17.98 off a meal with the in-laws last night so I'm chucking that in with my total!

    Also a quick question for people who have used qmee a lot more than I have, does qmee work if I search using the nectar tool bar??

    I wanted to say thanks to enmaglet and Aesop but don't know where the button is...?
    I appreciate the support and will certainly be checking out some of the things you've recommended Aesop.
    Unfortunately I have nothing to sell. I left my previous relationship 6 months ago with my clothes and books after nearly 20 years and I'm kind of attached to them :)
    I may look in the future to buying to sell on but am a little hesitant to spend extra cash I don't have at present. However the bf loves eBay. He just sold a glass case of dead moths we found when we moved in for £56!!
