Slipping behind on posting to keep me motivated but I'm still playing and learning on ynab. Finally got hubby to bank to cancel stupid guaranteed Xboxlive sub (he couldn't get into old account to cancel they couldn't find old account-nightmare!) so there's £5.99 a month back. Been busy at work last 2 days and tmw will b manic too so no spending risks as I'll not leave the building. Never mind might not need any of it when I get my £64million tomoro lol off Sunday so must update my sub and do more ynab tutorials -addicted!!!!Living half in debt, half in denial

Ok so a few days since posting, I've screwed up ynab twice, heres to third time lucky. that however has brought me to poss lbm no 2. I have (stupidly/sensibly??) sat and put all of our bank accounts, credit cards and loans into ynab so I can see the whole gory truth. -£33,240.76 is our net worth. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. i'm still a tad unsure if this takes the credit from our 2 bank accounts off the total in which case add another £700 on there just for good measure. I don't see how we got to this bad and i'm not entirely sure I can fix this but I will do my damndest. I can't face a losing house scenario to do a scary dmp (which I do know is the best option in all honesty) and with many pets we'd struggle to rent anyway. plus we have 1 car which is a leasehire thingy and mines clocked in at 11yrs old and will need to go in 2-3 yrs max. i'd planned to do a lease hire too so need to sort credit rating and finances for then. keeping old cars on the road has caused a lot of this debt. god its such a viscious cycle. time to start a sellathon I think. I do as much as poss as cheap as poss already so I think i'll draw up a plan of sorting drawers and cupboards and ebaying. may also go through the jewellery box and see what can go from there. does any1 have experience of the "we buy unwanted gold/silver" companies please??Living half in debt, half in denial

Found your diary and it's nice to see someone else in the same region of debt as me. Hopefully I can read your diary and be inspired. It's just not the same reading a diary when they've only got £1000 to pay off... it's a long journey for us and we need to club together and be prepared!0

So I've been terrible on posting lately. Working 55-60 hrs getting paid for 39 spending days off trying to keep on top of house & money and wanting to stay in bed hide away and watch trash on the tv. Yay life's amazing......not! Anyhoooo ynab adds to my joy telling me I have £50 left after I pay bills but before I buy any food, fuel or animal food. So time to try and find time and motivation to sell all that is not nailed down and hope to survive and pray work organises the expenses they failed to give us last week or I'm kinda Donald ducked!!Living half in debt, half in denial

Well I haven't posted in a while. I've been living at work and spending days off asleep and cleaning. So today's post is no more positive than the last. Think I'm having a birthday crisis tbh. It's the joyous day tmw and I genuinely don't give 2 hoots about any pomp and ceremony. I'm looking it in mse terms. I'm hitting 32, I'm in double the debt I was 3 years ago when we "fixed" the finances. I'm in a job that I don't like that's currently ruining my real life as the powers that b think it's fine to exploit 2people and work them to the bone without helping them and I just don't see anything improving. Just plain old sick I think. It'll pass and I'm sure it's not what many want to read I just needed to let it out. Oh and to add to the joys my car (11yr old) goes for its service on tues and I'm pretty sure it needs work done which I can't afford.
So after all my happy ramblings I'm off for a cuppa and a biccy or 3
Hope everyone else is a little happier and brighter

Well the happy day is here lol yesterday's written rant has made me feel better. Time to let age bring sense I hope, and at least for today update my ynab, do a little housework, have a nose about for freebies, coupons and surveys. And hopefully finish off with some food at the parents (free food whoop whoop)
Here's to a happy day for all :-)Living half in debt, half in denial
